Who we build for

Tradie website design that gets the phone ringing

Half your competition has a site that opens with quality workmanship and competitive rates, and says nothing else. The job of tradie website design is simpler than that: say what you fix, say where you go, and make the number impossible to miss. Get those three right and you take jobs off outfits with twice your advertising budget.

What a customer checks before they ring you

Do you do this exact job. Do you come to my suburb. Have you done one before. Are you licensed. How do I reach you right now.

That is the whole list, and it gets answered in about twenty seconds, one-handed, often while the water is still running. Nobody reads your About page first. If one of the five takes any work to find, they are back on the results page looking at the next name.

So we build the site around those five questions. Your number sits at the top of every page and dials when it is tapped. Your licence number is on the page rather than hidden in small print. The jobs are described the way customers describe them, and the suburbs are listed by name.

Good tradie website design, and the other kind

The site most trades end up with
  • A homepage about quality workmanship and competitive rates, which every competitor also claims.
  • Services written in trade terms, so the person searching for a blocked drain never finds the page.
  • Greater Sydney and surrounds, which answers nobody who lives in Marrickville.
  • A phone number as plain text, to be copied out by hand.
  • A contact form with fifteen fields and nowhere to attach a photo.
The site that gets rung
  • A first line that names the trade and the patch, so people know in a glance they are in the right place.
  • A page for each real job, titled the way people say it out loud.
  • The suburbs you genuinely drive to, listed one by one.
  • A tappable number on every screen, with the hours you answer it.
  • A short quote form that takes a photo of the problem.

The small things that win the job

None of this is clever. All of it is the difference between a call and a closed tab.

A number that dialsTapped, not copied out. It sits in the header on every page, and it stays there while people scroll.
Your licence, in plain sightA visible licence number settles a question people are too polite to ask. Buried at the bottom of a page, it does nothing.
Jobs in their wordsPeople search for what went wrong, not for what the fix is called. The pages use their words. You can keep yours for the quote.
Enquiries you actually seeA job request can arrive as an email, a text message, or both, so it reaches the phone in your pocket instead of an inbox you open on Sundays.
Photos of your own workTen real job photos beat any stock shot of a stranger in a hard hat. Before and after, taken on your phone, is plenty.
Changes without the fightNew service added, a suburb dropped, hours changed over Christmas. Send us a message and it is done, with no page builder to wrestle.

From a search to a booked job

  1. 01They find the exact jobSomeone types hot water not working and their suburb. They land on a page about that job in that area, not on a homepage listing everything you have ever touched.
  2. 02They decide you are the real thingLicence number, photos of finished work, the suburbs you cover, a straight line about how call outs work. Twenty seconds of quiet reassurance, in the order they look for it.
  3. 03They call, or send a photoOne tap if it is urgent. If it can wait, a short form with a photo attached, which often saves you a trip and gets you turning up with the right part.

What comes with a tradie site

Built phone first, because that is where every one of these people is standing.

  • A tappable phone number in the header and footer of every page
  • Your licence number where people can see it
  • A page for each job you want more of, named the way customers search
  • Your real service areas, suburb by suburb, not Greater Sydney
  • A short quote form with photo attachment
  • A gallery of your own work, before and after
  • Enquiries forwarded wherever you will see them fastest
  • Fast on a phone with one bar of signal
  • Hosting, backups and edits looked after by us
Questions

The things people ask

How much does a tradie website cost?

There is no fixed price, because no two sites need the same things. We quote on what yours actually needs once we have talked about it. Before any of that, we build you a free preview so you can see the work before you decide anything. No obligation, nothing to pay.

I get all my work from word of mouth. Do I need a website?

Word of mouth still ends at a search. Someone passes on your name, and the next thing that happens is that name typed into a phone. If nothing sensible comes back, the referral quietly dies. A site rarely creates that lead, but it very often saves it.

Should I list every suburb in Sydney?

No, and it works against you. A site that claims everywhere reads like a call centre, and the first thing people want to know is whether you are local to them. List the suburbs you genuinely drive to and you become the obvious call for those, which is also the easier way to be found.

Can customers send a photo of the problem?

Yes, and it is the most useful thing on the whole site. A photo attached to a quote request means you can often answer without driving over, and when you do go, you go with the right part on the van.

Where should my licence number go?

Somewhere nobody has to hunt for it. We usually put it in the footer of every page and again near the contact details. What your trade requires is between you and your industry body, but a licence number you can see reassures someone who is about to let a stranger into their house.

Can I change things myself when my services or hours change?

You can, and some owners enjoy it. Most would rather send a message from the van and have it done for them, which is what the care plan covers. Either way, a word change never means waiting weeks.
