What we do

A small business website with online booking

Two jobs, one site. People book you without a single message going back and forth, and they buy from you at eleven at night. That is what a small business website with online booking and a checkout is for, and both get built around how your business actually runs.

Four messages, or none

How a booking happens now
  • They ask if you are free Thursday.
  • You check. You are not.
  • You offer Friday.
  • They have since made other plans.
  • And you are the appointment system, all day, every day.
How it happens with a booking form
  • They open your site and see what is genuinely free.
  • They take Thursday at ten, or Friday if Thursday has gone.
  • It lands in your calendar with their name and number on it.
  • You find out when you next look at your phone.
  • Nobody typed anything twice.

A small business website with online booking, built around how you work

Most booking widgets assume every job takes an hour and every day looks the same. Yours does not. A cut and a colour are not the same length. A quote visit and the job itself are not the same thing at all.

So the rules go in first. How long each service really takes, the buffer you need between jobs, the days you are shut, the half hour of driving if you go to people rather than people coming to you. After that the calendar only ever offers a time you can say yes to, which is the whole point and the bit that gets skipped.

If you already run a booking system and it does the job, we connect your site to it instead of making you move. Changing tools costs you a week and a fortnight of small annoyances. There is usually no reason to spend either.

Selling online without building a warehouse

A shop does not have to mean a thousand products and a stockroom out the back. Plenty of businesses sell a handful of things, so we connect your site to the tools that already do this properly rather than inventing a checkout of our own.

When it is a proper shopShopify, for real stock, sizes, postage and a catalogue that changes every month. You run it from one dashboard, and it keeps working if you ever change who looks after your site.
When it is three things and a voucherStripe, for a gift voucher, a class, a deposit, or the two items people keep asking whether you post. The voucher turns up in their inbox and you get on with your afternoon.
Your site never sees a card numberThe payment side belongs to the payment provider, not to us and not to your website. So do their fees, which they publish openly on their own site.

How it gets set up

Three parts, and the first one matters more than it looks.

  1. 01We learn how your week really goesServices, how long each one takes, buffers, the days you do not work, who does the travelling. A boring half hour that decides whether any of this is usable.
  2. 02We wire it into your siteA booking flow and a checkout that look like the rest of your site, not like a widget bolted onto the side of it. Or a clean connection to the system you already have, if that is the better answer.
  3. 03We test it on a phone, one-handedAlmost everyone booking is on a phone, often while doing something else. If the form is long, they stop. So it gets built phone first and tested there, not designed on a desktop and squashed down afterwards.

What you end up with

A website that handles the asking, the agreeing and the paying while you are busy doing the actual work.

  • A calendar people can book into without asking you a single question
  • Times offered only when you can really take them, buffers and travel included
  • Deposits, full payment up front, or paying on the day, and switching between them is a setting rather than a rebuild
  • A shop or a simple checkout, whichever one your list of products actually needs
  • Confirmations and reminders going out without you writing them
  • Payment handled by Shopify or Stripe, so your site never stores a card
  • One place to change your hours when something comes up, on your phone, in under a minute
Questions

The things people ask

How much does online booking cost to set up?

There is no fixed price, because no two sites need the same things. We quote on what yours actually needs once we have talked about it. Before any of that, we build you a free preview so you can see the work before you decide anything. No obligation, nothing to pay.

Can you use the booking system I already have?

Usually, yes. If it works and your regulars know it, we connect your site to it rather than making you move everything. If you are starting from nothing, we will recommend one, tell you why, and set it up around how you work.

Do I need a full online store to sell a few things?

Often not. A gift voucher, a class or three products can run on a simple checkout without the overhead of a shop platform behind it. We will tell you which of the two your list actually needs, and it is frequently the smaller one.

Can people pay a deposit instead of the whole amount?

Yes. A deposit, the full amount up front, or nothing until the day. It is a setting rather than a rebuild, and it is worth a proper think, because it changes how many people turn up.

What happens with payment processing fees?

They go to the payment provider, never to us. Shopify and Stripe both publish their current rates openly, and we will point you at the right page before you commit to either, so there is nothing to discover later.

What if someone needs to move or cancel a booking?

They do it themselves from their confirmation, inside whatever notice period you set, and the time goes back on the calendar for someone else to take. One less message for you, one fewer gap in your day.
