Small business web design in Sydney
Searching small business web design Sydney turns up a lot of studios saying very similar things. So here is ours, plainly. Most businesses your size need about five good pages, and the building was never the hard part.

Five pages is usually plenty. What you do, who you are, proof you have done it before, the answers to the questions you get asked every week, and an obvious way to get in touch. A cafe swaps one of those for a menu, a sparky swaps one for the suburbs they cover, and the shape barely changes.
The pages that go stale are the ones nobody asked for. A blog needs a writer. A news section needs news. A slider needs someone to decide what goes in it, every month, forever.
We would rather hand you five pages that are finished than twenty you are quietly embarrassed by.
A bigger site is not the same as a better one
- A blog for the SEO that nobody has the time to write
- A news section, last updated in 2019
- A homepage slider most visitors never scroll far enough to see
- Thirty pages, half of them saying the same thing
- A dashboard login you lose within a fortnight
- About five pages, each one with a job to do
- Words that sound like you and speak to someone deciding
- One clear next step wherever a visitor lands
- Quick on a phone, on patchy reception, in the sun
- Changes you can just ask us for
Why the site builders are harder than they look
Squarespace and Wix are good products. With the time and a decent eye you can get a real site out of either one, and plenty of people do.
The catch is that building it is the easy part. Making it load quickly, writing the words, picking the photos, getting it to turn up when somebody searches your suburb, keeping it right when your hours change: that is the actual job, and none of it finishes on launch day.
So the Sunday goes well. You get eighty percent of the way there, the last twenty percent needs decisions you have no time to make, and a year later it is still sitting there unfinished. That is not a skills problem. You are running a business.
How it works with us
You see the design before you commit to anything.
- 01A thirty minute chatWe ask about the business. What you sell, who buys it, what people ring up and ask, and what is wrong with the site you have, if you have one. No slides, no pitch.
- 02A free preview, not a templateThen we design your site and show it to you. A real page, built around your business, rather than a theme with your logo dropped in the corner. If it is not for you, you have lost half an hour and that is genuinely the end of it.
- 03Refine it together, then launchWe change what needs changing until it reads like you, then put it live with hosting, backups and the security certificate handled. Launch day should be a quiet one.
What you get, and what stays handled
Every site we build leaves with the boring parts already sorted.
- A design made around your business, not a theme with your name on it
- Five or so pages, each written to do one job properly
- Fast on a phone, which is where most of your customers already are
- Hosting, backups and the security certificate, set up and kept running
- Help with the words, if writing about yourself makes you want to lie down
- A care plan for monthly edits, updates and support, so nothing quietly goes stale
- One place to email when something needs changing
The things people ask
How much does small business web design in Sydney cost?
There is no fixed price, because no two sites need the same things. We quote on what yours actually needs once we have talked about it. Before any of that, we build you a free preview so you can see the work before you decide anything. No obligation, nothing to pay.
What is the free preview, exactly?
A free preview is a real design of your new site, made after a thirty minute chat about your business. Not a template with your logo dropped on it. You look at it, and if it is not for you, that is genuinely the end of it.
How many pages does my business actually need?
Usually about five. What you do, who you are, proof of past work, the questions you answer on the phone every week, and how to reach you. If a menu, a price list or a suburbs page earns its place, it goes in. If you need more later we add them, which is a much better order than building pages now and hoping you fill them.
How long does it take?
A few weeks from the first chat to going live. What usually sets the pace is content: photos, and deciding what you want to say about yourself. We can write the words if that is the part you keep putting off.
I started one on Wix and never finished it. Is that a problem?
Not at all, and you are in good company. We keep everything that was working, the words, the photos, the structure you landed on, and build the site properly around it. Your domain stays yours either way, so nothing you have already paid for is wasted.
Who looks after it after it launches?
We do, if you want us to. A care plan covers monthly edits, updates and support, so the site stays fast and secure and does not drift two years out of date. It is optional, and most people take it because they would rather not think about the site again.
